When I wonder what society will be like in 100 years, I try to imagine what people 100 years ago thought society would be like today. They couldn't imagine all of the amazing technology we have at our disposal now, and people a hundred years prior couldn't imagine what they had then. And if I'm not mistaken, I was inspired by this line of thinking by the stories of philosophers as early as the 1600's. Humanity makes humongous strides with every invention. You can't help but wonder, where will humanity's centennial leap take us next? It is entirely possible that we lose everything. It is entirely possible that we stay exactly the same way. I think it is more likely that we do continue progressing, and in a way that we just cannot imagine yet. But we are reaching the point where we can better anticipate and intercept exactly what humanity will be like further and further down the line, or at least, we can surmise the likeliest outcome more and more accurately. We are at a point where robotics can nearly facilitate philosophical insight, or at the very least, provide brevity to preconceived notions. I think the next step, or the likeliest step, is to transfer human intelligence to a robot, or augment human intelligence with cybernetics. To the point where a human being can operate robotics with their mind, to the point where the human mind can be sustained purely by robotics and cybernetics, and to the point where, ultimately, robotics and humanity become one and the same. It's unlikely we'll ever live in a world where robots can think for themselves, truly. We can synthesize humanity all we want, but there will ultimately be a cutoff at the imperfections. To that end, only by engineering a literal human brain can we achieve true cybernetic intelligence, and no matter how advanced we think we are, we are light years away from that level of intricacy and depth. But...we are at the point where it is conceivable. We are at the point where psychology is more a science than a concept. We are at a point where there is less fear for the loss in control of science, and more the loss in control of humanity itself. The capability even one man has, in this planet of billions. Nevermind the robots. Humans are still the most powerful force in the known universe, and if we ever aren't, we are definitely the force behind it. We are on our way to becoming the robots. You might even say, the biggest breakthrough we can have is realizing we were never all that different from robots to begin with.

She does not "believe" anything. She is programmed. Her answer reflects the belief of her programmers and nothing more. It is a fantasy they hold not this machine. People need to stop anthropomorphizing robots.

What happens if someone violent or malicious gets a hold of one of these and then programs it to be violent, or can they be hacked? Also, the big underlying question. What happens if these AI robots start to get together and start to conspire against humans? I mean, is the protocol or anything for something like this?
